Interview with Sergio

How long have you been in Chengdu/China and how long do you plan to stay?

Six months, and I plan to stay for a couple of years.

Why did you choose to come to Chengdu/Sichuan and what do you like most about this part of China?

After looking at different options, this seemed as a nice option, combining the big city, the traditional China and a dynamic lifestyle.

Where do you teach/have been teaching and what age groups? What are the good and bad sides of that age group?

Public schools in the city, ages between 10 and 17 years old; these groups are sometimes challenging, but learning how to focus all the energy and ideas they might provide, it could be a nice experience.

What has been the most rewarding part of this experience and what will you do next?

Living a whole new experience that gives a new perspective in life, how to have successful interactions with other cultures; and in order to keep doing it I want to start studying to understand more the language and the people.

Would you recommend coming to live and teach in Chengdu?

Definitely, it is a life experience well worth living!
